| Finding the will of God...Luke 22:42 " Father, if it is Yôur will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yôurs, be done.
As the shadows fall upon Gethsemane, we find our Lord so anguished in prayer that He begun to literally sweat drops of blood. His passion was to accomlpish the Father's will for His life. John 6:38 " I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him Who sent Me." Now, on the evening before He would hang on the Roman cross bearing the weight of the sins of the world, it was THIS DESIRE that consumed Him. That is" NOT My will, but Yôurs , BE DONE."
God has a purpose and plan for EACH of His children. Psalm 16:12 " You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at the right had are pleasures forevermore."
John 6:40 This is the will of Him Who sent Me, they EVERYONE who SEES the Son and BELIEVES in Him may have EVERLASTING life,"
1 Timothy 2:3-4 For is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the KNOWLEDGE of the truth.
Colossians 3:16 let the Word of Christ DWELL in you richly in all wisdom.
Psalm 16:11 He will make known to us the path of life
Finding the will of God:
BE SURE YOU KNOW THE SAVIOR.
BE SURE YOU KNOW THE SPIRIT.
BE SURE YOU KNIW THE SCRIPTURE...
When we KNOW Christ, when we are abiding by His Spirit, and His Word, He will make known to us the path of life.
God does not want to veil His will from you. He is more desirous of YOUR FINDING it and WALKING IN it than you are yourself. YES! e has a wonderful plan for your life, and He LONGS to make His will known to you. Finally , JOIN Jesus in praying, " NOT my will, but Yôurs BE DONE."
For it is WITH God ALL things ARE possible,
Father God, guide mt today to do ALL things that will bring glory and honor to Yôu. Amen    |
