 What's your favorite? I cant leave salt blocks in stalls, one just will not touch them at all and the other will eat the block in a day. I need something i can maybe leave in stall or outside(that can also be brought in) I board (selfcare) so im there twice a day to take care of my boys and im the only one that does all day turn out;
i dont know if they need anything extra but, I want them to have the option if they feel they want it. Thanks!

I would check out Redmond Rock. I use the rock salt on a rope. You just hang it up.

But they also have Daily Gold which you feed with your grain or by itself.

I also use Redmond for my horses. But, my area is not deficient in any mineral, so they pretty much be get what they need from the quality roughage and Renew Gold that I feed. Redmond is about 8% minerals other than salt, and is a nice product for my use.

I have looked into free choice minerals in the past and ended up going a different route. But I really liked the ones that Dynamite has...there are two different options based on what your area is deficient in....... https://dynamitespecialty.myvoffice.com/ShoppingCart/index.cfm?FuseA...

and

https://dynamitespecialty.myvoffice.com/ShoppingCart/index.cfm?FuseA...

I ended up going with Thunder Mountain Minerals and I can honestly say that my horses have NEVER looked better, even when they were on Platinum Performance. They look incredible and I get asked all the time what I feed them.... just grass hay and TMM.

I formulated GroStrong minerals for Moormans, so I do like it. I don't know if it is still made in a medication free mill today. It was when I did the formula.

I really liked Grostrong minerals, too, but I don't trust the company anymore. Even if they told me it was not made in a medicated mill I would not believe them.

One is for if you primarily feed grass the other is if you primarily feed alfalfa.

What made you deicde to go with the TMM?  Ive heard a good bit of people say they feed it, but the only thing that worries me is i have a superrrrrr picky eater. He will sift through anything that he does not want to eat.

Well, two reasons. I wanted to really simplify my feed program, and as part of that I stopped feeding Renew Gold, Cur-ost and some other things. To make sure I didn't have a nutritional gap I looked for a mineral that had everything in it. Thunder Mountain Minerals has 69 Minerals and they come straight out of the dirt/ground from a place in Utah I want to say (a lot of Minerals and vitamins in different feeds are synthetic). Secondly, My mare's hocks are fusing and I was researching Equi Bone. TMM is VERY similar in my opinion but cheaper. So I thought I'd give it a try.

I now just feed grass hay, TMM and a handful of soaked alfalfa cubes in the morning with the TMM. Within a few weeks my horses were literally blooming (also they do not get any pasture turn out unfortunately...for those who'd say it was the spring pasture that turned on the bloom). They had looked good before but suddenly they looked amazing. People were asking what I had them on, getting tons of compliments , horses were running harder than ever and feeling great etc. Also, I just had my mare vet checked again and she is showing significant improvement in just a few months. I'm very, very pleased with the product so far, actually more pleased than anything I've ever tried. I was skeptical reading all the amazing reviews on this stuff on their website but not anymore, it really works.

I have only ordered directly from the website but I think there are a couple of dealers out there. I looked quickly and Sharon Couch (817-431-4136) appears to be a dealer or you can use the coupon code "SC115" for a discount on the website: www.thundermountainminerals.com
