We have a horse who we think has soft tissue issues in her front hooves. It seems to manifest itself when we haul to events where she has to be stalled at least overnight (at home, she only stays stalled during bad weather). We are wondering what others do to help their horses with sensitive feet.

My little mare gets a bit sore as well and can't handle rocks. I need to buy her the boots to wear when stalled and I also use a foot hardener like durasole or something to help with her issue.

Equipak would be my first suggestion. My farrier had a different shoe that had a yellow pad adhered to the shoe. He did not have the size for my horse with thin soles but said they would help. I just really like Equipak.

I have a horse with thin soles and it really helps his feet if I keep his feet dry.
He doesn't get turned out in wet weather or grass with dew.

Consider X-rays on her feet just to make sure of what you’re dealing with IMO.

Then boots or pads as suggested.

Rickens is a good product to harden the sole. But I would add an easy boot for traveling.
