Location: South Georgia | Where are your go-to places? I am really looking for a set that is less blingy and less colorful. It is so hard to find plain, tooled, nice leather sets anymore. Any ideas? |

Cool. I'll look it up. I have had the hardest time finding something more "plain" or traditional, I guess. |

| My go to is Martin Saddlery. I have several nice headstalls and breast collars from them.
I also like the mohair breast collars, 5 Star, Cielo, etc...
I don't do bling either. |

Location: Northwest | For plain or tooled tack I love Buckaroo Leather. Very good quality (Hermann Oak) and excellent customer service. |

Location: Louisiana | I recently bought a plain roughout set at Teskeys and it is great quality. Super soft leather, thick and well oiled. I want to say I paid less than $200 for headstall and breastcollar together. I don't see it wearing out anytime soon.

I used to have a set by Running Roan, and I also have a saddle bag (for a cell phone) that I love from them. On their website, however, there are no simpler pieces. They are all decked out. lol |

Her "Plain" headstalls and breastcollars are the ones I drool over.

Youre welcome! i totally know what you mean. Ive been running my one guy in a plain ol tooled leather Billy Cook breast collar and headstall. It just looks so classy on him and i love it. Im not all about the bling sometimes. Thats why i love mandys work, very professional and she can go as plain or as blingy as you want. High quality as well. Ive never had an issue with her work and she stands by it as well. |

| I have stuff from KB Custom - but I see you're from South GA. A girl I went to ABAC with is making beautiful tack sets with high quality AND beautiful detail. PM me if you want her info. She lives in North GA now. |

I second Kaylyn! Got a headstall made a while back, and now she is working on a wither strap and a dog collar for me. |

| Nothing pretty....mohair cinch and breast collar, black or brown nylon headstalls
For everyday riding I like the professional choice breast collars with neoprene bc they can be washed off and thrown on the next horse. |

Location: Oregon | I used to sell a ton of Cowperson Tack and then moved over to more blingier (Luan's) tack, but lately I've had a handful of people asking for more traditional tack so I'm going to go back to stocking Cowperson Tack again. They are made in the USA from scratch and are a very good quality piece and their harness leather tack is amazing as well. Let me know if you'd like something! |
