Who has used natural balance horseshoes? For what reasons and did they help your situation? If not why? What are some reasons when not to use natural balance shoes? Thanks for your help.

Needing more break over and more support is why we tried them. We didn't like the hole placement and the wide webbed shoes. You can accomplish the same thing with just a regular shoe. Bring the toe back, give more support in the heels.

Just switched farriers and he recommended them for my one gelding. hes got a shorter back and needs better breakover to help get his front feet out of the way quicker. The old farrier kept leaving his toes longer and longer and then tight shoeing him so he wouldnt pull shoes (crushed heels)
So far they seem to be helping. hes not clipping his feet together and knock on wood he hasnt pulled a shoe.

My situation was the same ^^^^. She had them when I bought her, but we opted to not keep them on. I do know, because I've seen it, if they are not used/set properly they can cause a hell of a mess. So make sure your farrier knows what they are doing.

I use them on 2 of mine. #1 - This mare has a right front club foot with contracted heels. Since switching to the NB shoes (just use them on the front on this mare) her heels have shown marked improvement. She is less sensitive when on hard or rocky ground with these as compared to regular shoes. #2 - mare with naturally long toes (most of her growth is in her toes) and would constantly pull front shoes when running barrels. Since switching to NB shoes on the front and hind she doesn't pull shoes any longer.
