How do the corriente saddles ride? Forward hung stirrups? Sits u back or straight up? Also looked at the strip down model due to weight. Just thought they were neat saddles

Not what I would consider forward hung. I have been very pleased with the Corrientes I've won and ridden. No, they're not a Caldwell, but they don't cost $5000 either. Folks at Corriente are a pleasure to work with too. Love some of the new styles on their site!!

I bought one last year, not a strip down but just one of they're older models, and it kept my feet behind me. I only put a few rides on it before I sold it, but the quality wasn't bad! Just not my cup of tea.

fenders swing pretty freely, saddle fits most horses pretty good. I prefer stirrups that keep my feet right below me-like a camarillo saddle and the corriente was a little too free for my liking. Seat is flat and deep swells are great-can ride pretty balanced in them. Haven't dealt with the strip down model at all.
