Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | I know we have a few Board buddys from California but I dont know what part of the state you guys live in, prayers that you and family and animals "horses" are staying safe. Seems like its just getting worst for the Cal people.. Saw a horse farm where they lost over 25 horses due to all the fires.. BB's check in if you can. Prayers going out  |

Location: Displaced Iowegian | Many prayers too .... I have family in areas that were affected by the last round. It is just so sad to see the horses running loose and scared, etc. Hopefully, the California BBs will check in here ....... |

| I used to be on BHW as Leterbuck, some may remember strings of posts about my little bay rescue horse a few years back. I'm about 15-20 miles from "the big one" not in the direct line of fire but it is an absolute beast of a fire. Air quality is horribile, definitely not the kind that you or your animals want to exercise in. It hasn't been heavily reported on but this particular fire has burned through A LOT of ranch land, so in addition to the houses lost many ranchers and farmers have lost cattle and crops. The western portion of the fire is currently burning through the area I grew up riding as a kid and LITERALLY up to the back porches of many homes. Beautiful trails but very dangerous terrain, please remember our Firemen/women and all of the personnel involved in your prayers.

Yes many prayers going out to all the fire fighters and their familys. I have heard that one fire fighter had lost his life.. |
