| Whats the difference between empower boost and empower balance and the new empower top line?
I have two 2 yr olds that i just bought that need some extra weight 'bloom' to them.. thinking of cutting the beet pulp off and just giving them their grain and one of the empowers, not sure which is better and most cost efficient? They already have a round bale of coastal, flake of Perennial peanut hay AM/PM along with their grain... I was thinking either, adding alfalfa cubes, keeping the beet pulp or adding one of the empowers?
I'd Love some info about all and which are used best for what circumstances. Ive gone through the threads on here and google and cant fins a lot to compare to each other esp the empower top line. |

| I don't know anything about those products, so I am not super helpful. However...I think there is a difference between bloom, needing weight and getting a better top line. Bloom to me means, better hair/coat quality which any supplement with a fatty acid will do. When it comes to putting on actual weight, I use Cool Calories, super cheap and easy. Working on top line, IMO, will come with some weight gain, if needed, but is also helped with consistent exercise, specially over ground poles. |

Location: Deep South | The Boost is a high fat supplement made of a combination of rice bran and flaxseed. The Balance and the TopLine Balance are the same product, new name. It is a ration balancer high in protein. It does not list the ingredients for this product, which has always been my issue with Nutrena.
You mentioned feeding perennial peanut hay, I'm assuming you live in the South. Seminole Feeds carries a nearly identical product to the Balance called Equalizer that I like. |

| Realistically speaking I'm going for all of those. One of the 2 yr olds isn't nearly as bad, but the other one definitely needs weight.
I don't love feeding oil and all that kinda stuff, not that im completely opposed to it, but I'm a firm believer in just great quality hay and feed. I just figured maybe someone knew some secret to putting the weight on them 'faster'
Someone said that at the pleasure horse barns they just feed pounds and pounds of feed, but also feed calf manna? |

Calf manna is very similar to the Balance and the Equalizer I mentioned.
IMO best thing you can do is feed them all the PP hay they can eat.
This colt was on one 1lb of rice bran 2x a day and 20lbs of alfalfa per day. Before and after pics taken 60 days apart.

Location: Ohio girl moved to PA | Ive had amazing results with the DAC bloom and oil. Reallyyyyy made my guys look beautiful. It puts the weight right where its needed instead of all going to their stomach. Its so afforable and even my pickest eater cleans it right up. My boys also were on Tribute Kalm Ultra and unlimited hay that the time i was feeding the DAC, they no longer need it or else theyll be cows haha |

This! I'm a big believer in rice bran and it's helped a lot of horses I've had. BTW, good looking colt! |
