Double J Pozzi Saddle Fitting Issue

Hi everyone,
I know there were a few posts awhile back talking about how the Double J Pozzi saddles seem to roll on their horses backs, I couldn't seem to locate them. I am having the same issue and am interested in purchasing a new one. I originally had my Double J saddle designed for my Appendix mare who had a dip in her back and high withers. I purchased the Wide tree version. I sold her and I was hoping my 6 year old mare would fill out more so it would fit her better but she is flat backed, narrow, without a lot of withers. I'm currently use a thick Classic Equine with the built in shims on the shoulders because the saddle seems to tip up more on the back without the shim pad. It also rolls every time I get on her, more than it should even with a small withered horse, so it makes me nervous!
Do you think a standard tree would work, or do they have any special trees for fatter backed horses? If you have any suggestions on other saddle brands let me know! I currently ride in a Martin on my other horse but he is very WIDE! I like the fit for me with both saddles. Thanks!

Itβs hard to say because I had the opposite problem. I was using a standard on my Mare and it rolled on her bad since she filled out so much. I got a wide and it rides great. I can also use a pro standard on her and it doesnβt roll like the pozzi standard did.
They donβt make any special flatter trees, so a standard would be your only other option. Does the wide fall down in the front on her? Pro riders tend to fit norrower horses pretty good. Most narrow horses have a wither though. Flat backed horses are usually broader.

Oh interesting! It has always seemed to be lower on her on the front and the back tips up. The shims help with that but it still seems to lean forward. This past year her back really muscled up so her withers arenβt as prominent looking as before when she was a 4/3 year old
( her back had more of a dip then
). She has a decent wither but itβs not as prominent or high as some other horses. She is pretty narrow width wise and her back seems to be flat at the top and then rounds out.

I Ride a Double J Pozzi Wide Tree and My horse is 14.3 Hands and whithers is normal i would say, i ride with Impact gel pads. The kind that is navajo on top and the fleece on bottom, NEVER have i had a saddle to ROLL or make my horses back sore or anything....I rode a Circle Y Just B Natural Treeless on this horse before getting my pozzi and i rode the SAME PAD and NEVER had it to roll...Everyone kept telling me to get a 5 Star pad that i would love it....i spent 300.00 for one and rode it ONCE and My horse BUCKED for the first time since i owned him, he HATED IT, so i went back to my impact gel and i will NEVER ride another pad....
