Can anyone tell me about him and his offspring? He was on tbe track, lots of pictures but no videos of him running. Curious if anyone has something by him and what they are like.

I found this on youtube although it doesn't show any actual video of his races.

The majority don't like to turn in a 40 acre field. Some get really nervous at the gates....not had much luck with them.

Although, we've currently got a 2 yr old in schooling races Friday out of a daughter of OTS and by Corona Caliente that has a head full of sense that I'll be trying on the pattern once his racing career is over.

I had an OTS granddaughter crossed with Smart Chic Olena and will forever regret selling her. She has a long beautiful stride and was incredibly smart and kind. From the day she was born she would walk up to you in the stall and forever wanted to be around whoever was in her area. Her stud died in Storm Atlas and was an own son - I would have bred back to him in a New York minute.

Track....if you get a son or daughter OTT for cheap enough with few enough outs, sound-ish....then I'd snatch it up and try it tho!

Thats what Ive done. I got a daughter of OTS and out plan is to cross her with something a little cowbred. She is sound and broke. Was on the track for a bit. My plan was always to breed her but I might jump on see what she is :)

You should be just fine

I'm loving the one we have in training out of an OTS mare! He's a lil chunky thing with a head full of sense....sneaky smart, keeps the gallop boy on his toes lol

I have one off the track, he was AAA, stakes placed, won $13k.  He is a solid 2D, sometimes 1D horse at 250+ entry races.  Have won rodeo money on him as well.  I'd have another.

We have a gorgeous, grey stud that's by Royal Quick Dash and out of Wanna Be Special (Oak Tree Special). He's only 3 and I can't wait to start him on the barrel pattern when he gets a little older.

Who had the stud that died in storm Atlas? Just curious since I'm from SD. One of our studs sires also died in storm Atlas. We were lucky, didn't lose any horses or cattle.

Well I've been around a few more since this thread and I'm gonna have to say I'm not a big fan. Fractious when put under pressure and they are the worst ones to act up in the starting gates. Some do turn out but on average they crumble. I think it's why there is not a ton out in the arena. I sold the two I had. They are nice consistent 2-3D horses for little girls. Both of them were much happier to find a lil girl to lope around with rather than hammer down. Very bossy, wanna do their way....need a jockey that'll let them be them.

Excited to hear about this one next year! My gelding is bred very similar!
