What would cause a horse to “frost up” more than any other horse? This winter I’ve noticed my mare gets covered in frost-her guard hairs, tail head, legs, mane, tail, whiskers, and eyelashes are covered in heavy frost when all the other horses have just a little, light frost? She’s in the same pasture as the others so temp/humidity isn’t any different? She is thinner skinned, but has a good thick coat?

I have a gelding who's done that this year worse than other years. I don't know what the difference is with him either.
His coat is thick, but he doesn't seem to have the longer guard hairs the other horses do. Maybe that has something to do with it, I don't know!

She has long guard hairs, longer than some of the other horses. I just worrry she’s losing body heat which is causing the frosting? Poor insulation? Lol
