I’m looking at a LQ trailer but the generator is propane. I’ve only had gas on the two I’ve had. It’s my understanding that propane generators do not produce as much energy as a gas model.  Anyone with experiences...good or bad?

I’ve had a propane Onan before and will never have another. Ran great but we couldn’t afford to run it. It used a ton of propane. Ours had a permanent tank mounted on the trailer which made filling it difficult also. Most places refill them by weighing the tanks so we had to find places that had a gauge.

Thank you.  As I’ve researched, I think I’ve decided “no” on this particular trailer.  It’s a shame because I love the trailer.

I currently have one, ours is a generac.  We have 2 100lb tanks so we can always have one at home that is filled.  Our tank is in the back saddle compartment.  We can run the air conditioner in the middle of summer for 32 hours.  If you aren't using the air it will run forver on one tank.  If you do have to use one of the small tanks, they only last about 5 hrs with air on.  They have less trouble since they run so clean but aren't as easy as just filling up at a gas station.

I have a Champion and it's gas OR propane. There is just a small attachment. I think ALL propane would be a hassle. But I like having the option with mine.
