I'm looking at a Cactus saddle. Good quality brand or is it made cheap? Are they comfortable? Do they tend to fit different horses pretty easily?
Also looking at an RS Saddle. I've never heard of them and don't know if it's going to be any good. What are your opinions?
And the third is a Rocking R. Same questions!
They all look like they're in really good shape. Thank you!

I have ridden a friend's Cactus and loved it. It was comfortable and well made. I would have bought one, had I been able to find a used one in my size at the time. Not sure about the others.

I sold my RS for a Cactus so have experience with both. I love the quality of my cactus. I got the Marlene Mcrae and it is wide and flatter bars than a lot which I needed. Having to shim the front a bit for now as my coming 4 year old is both downhill and still filling out but has a wider flatter back. The quality is great IMO and love the way it rides.
There are two different kinds of RS imo. I had the older one and like it but didn't fit my mare. I sold it to my roommate and she loves it, looking for another but not the newer style. However, they throw my legs behind me. My roommate wants to keep her feet near her horses shoulder so it works perfect for her but I keep my leg more underneath me and felt like I was being thrown forward in it.

Thank you for your input! I'm not sure how to tell if it's an older or newer style. I like my legs more forward, so I wouldn't like the newer either.

Both styles do it imo. The newer ones I just don't like the quality as much. More of that shiney leather. Not as good of quality. You can PM me the link and I can try and tell you. RS are very popular up here. Lots of trophy saddles made by them.
ETA my Cactus is older too so not sure if that will effect anything. its not old but I don't believe they have made the Marlene for some time so not sure if their quality has changed. I know there was some discussion on the Fallon Taylor saddles seeming cheap. I visited them at the NFR and thought they seemed ok. I like mine better but I didn't think they seemed cheap.

I just have the pictures in my facebook messenger. How about a Double C? I don't know anything about them either.

I have a CJ Cactus with the foam underneath. I got it new going on two years ago. Its sturdy and rides well. Personally I like it and am happy with the quality.

I have two Cactus saddles. Love them both. I have had one for almost 10 years now. I ride in it everyday. It's my favorite.

Double C reminds me a lot of RS but I have never owned one. I can PM you email.
