Got a new breast collar and can't figure out how to attach my keeper to it. It has the metal piece in the middle and no ring just below it to attach to. I've pretty much always had a keeper, but just wondering if going without was a viable option since I either need to rig one up or sadly return this breast collar.

Send your breast collar back to the place you bought it and make them pay for
the shipping.
There is no excuse for not building a keeper ring in the breast collar ...
unless they had them done in China or India .. or for western pleasure ..
I don't know about other people but I get so tired of having to use a
check off list to make sure the company is not short cutting on the item.
I sent some racing headstalls back recently that the company had changed from all brass
and to a soft metal and not a stainless steel tongue in the buckle and they even
stopped doing the box sewing at the metal fittings. Yet.. they still had the
pictures of their headstall that made them famous in their ad with a $5 price increase!!
I think we Americans are too easy on these mfgrs and the more they get sent back
they will be more honest when making their products.

All you need is a zip tie! Put that through the ring and attach. Tie down can go down through zip tie.
Don't you just love zip ties!!! Maybe even more versatile than baling twine and gorilla tape.
