| What kind of alfalfa cubes do y'all use? I currently use Standlee Timothy Alfafla pellets. What is better Hay-Rite or Timothy Alfalfa Pellets. Also, what is y'all's opinion on Equine Omega Complete? |

| I feed the Omnis cube and the Omega cubes. My horses love them and they are easier for my older gelding to chew. I have also used the Standlee alfalfa/oat cube with no problems. I soaked these so their supplements would stick to them. I have since switched to the Durmoor alfalfa/hay cube and I soak those also. I do not nor are you supposed to soak the Omnis cube or the Omega cube because of the flax in them. Just depends on what you are wanting them to do. My horses are on pasture 24/7 so they do not get much of any of the cubes. I have no opinion on the Hay-Rite as I cannot get it around my area. |

| I have fed Standlee cubes, Hay-Rite cubes and Mustang Sally, Oni and Omega cubes. I am not riding now so I don’t feed the Oni or else mine would be fat as ticks. I soaked the Standle and Hay-Rite cubes, they were really hard. I don’t soak the Mustang Sally cubes. They looked equally good on all the brands, but I chose the Mustang Sally cubes because I don’t have to soak them |

Location: Texas! | I've fed the omnis with success and now amfeeding D&D nutritions Alfalux cube. Soft I don't soak and horses eat them great. I don't have a good place to store baked hay so I have completely swapped to cubes vs loose hay. |

Location: LouLouVille, OK | I recently switched all mine to Omega cubes that are made by the same people as Omnis... and My horses absolutely love them, in fact If I put baled alfalfa in while they are eating, they will pick out the cubes before getting to the other. no waste, I do spray mine down a little because I trust no cube... but I hear they do well if you don't...
No opinion on the others, never tried them

I was worried about them being too hard and my horse won’t eat soaked cubes, but he eats them without any problems and he’s 26 years old. He produces a lot of saliva which is great since saliva is what makes up the digestive juices. I’m beyond happy with them and the quality of alfalfa used is primo. It’s nice to not find bits of baling string and other garbage in my cubes. Makes a difference when the cubes aren’t made from baked hay. |

Not sure when you tried them in the past NTO.. but I haven't found anything like that in mine.. but I am a recent newbie :) The pallet I just got is the absolute greenest cubes I have ever seen...  |

Aint that the truth  We bought alfalfa from up north, big squares, and you should have seen all the rock and dirt in those...
Ive heard that about the hayrite cubes, it's what has kept me from them, that and they are higher priced and I have no local dealer to try |

| My last two bags of Mustang Sally cubes have mold on them and they didn’t get wet, they were in my feed cans so I am not sure they got rid of their problem. I am hoping to find some one fairly close that sells the D & D Nutition straight alfalfa cubes. |

Same here, I was tired of digging out the trash out of them. The quality just wasn't there anymore. Cows got more of them than the horses the last few tons I got. They didn't like the musty smell and the limestone binder they used for awhile |

Most don't understand 99% of the other cubes on the market are just cubed from Alfalfa bales that are bought from who knows where and from what hay auction.

Location: Texas | Same problem with the Omni's. I was very upset to find hay string in my cubes and mine just plain out stunk. I threw out the rest of what I had, cut my losses and went back to Hayrite. Hayrite is always green and smells good. My horses did not care for the Omni's (maybe because of the smell and crap in them) but they love the Hayrite mini cubes before Omni's and after Omni's. I have never had a problem getting them to eat them ever and the Omni's they would just look at them and walk off. No matter what was broke and is fixed now does not excuse quality or lack of it. |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | I had a half pallet of Omnis mold on me. I took them back and the feed store exchanged them for some from a new batch that was good. From what I was told, there was a problem at the plant and too much water was added. They’ve been fine since then. I had some with the funky binder last year too. They offered to replace but my horses ate them so I didn’t worry about it. Growing pains? I heard they’re a little disorganized to deal with, but so far I’ve been able to get what I needed when I needed, so I don’t see a reason to swap. |
