Tried FORCO for the first time and got a 30 day supply of pellets - my picky eater seemed to eat it well enough so got a 60 day supply and now he won't touch it. Almost smells burned. Friend got the same 60 day supply from the same guy and his also smells burned. Anyone ever had this happen?

I feed a lot of Forco and am a dealer. I haven’t had this happen. I would suggest calling the company. If you’re unhappy with the product they’ll replace it.

Mine has always had a strong coffee-ish burned smell. And I have fed it for going on 25 years now. But my horses have always eaten it. Very aggressively actually. But I can see how it could be described as burned for sure! To me it just smells like black black black cup of coffee.

I could see that, thats good to know. I only fed the one 30 day supply so maybe just didnt notice it. My horse has always had ulcer issues and is known to go off feed because of it - I'll try it again after he's done with his treatment. My friend fed his this morning and his horses ate it so probably nothing to worry about! I was just curious if it was actually supposed to smell like that. Thank you!
