We are still in Ohio and are headed back to VT with a new horse in tow! Going to try to add a picture! He's just what I wanted! We did a very thorough vet check with some x rays, and they were clean as a whistle. He's a 5yo gelding. Very level headed.

I appreciate everyone's support! We tried him last night for two hours, and went with the seller on a trail ride. He was great, very level headed for 5 yrs old. I was comfortable with him, and he seems very willing. Vet check at 7am this morning took 2.5 hrs, very thorough and did some x rays. Did not have anything on his x rays, no arthritis or navicular, or any sort of ringbone. His seller had too many horses she said and needed to downsize. We should be home around midnight. We have stopped a couple times to offer water and refill his hay net. All he wants is hay right now, but has drank some. Ohio is beautiful!

Thank you all! I really appreciate it! He is at my house hopefully only for a few days. In VT rabies is a must, and in Ohio a rabies vacc is not required. The vet who did the pre purchase said he did not feel comfortable giving it to him as it was 100 outside, and we were traveling 15 hrs home, so we didn't give it. We made a make shift corral and he is doing great. Hoping to get my vet out this week to give him the rabies vacc so I can take him to the barn I board at. The seller gave me a few bales of her hay that he's used to, and a few buckets of water, and a bag of his grain. Boy, does he like his hay! I filled a slow feed hay net, and that keeps him busy, along with a jolly ball. He is very curious, in a good way, likes to be around people. I will try to get more pictures soon!
