My new C3 saddle fits my horse perfectly (perfect sweat marks every time) but I'm having issues for myself.

1. I'm getting saddle sores on the insides of my calves, in all my years of riding I've never had this happen with any saddle and now I'm to the point of wrapping my legs in vet wrap so i dont get rubbed raw.

2. The roughout is leaving my jeans really brown!

I'm loving the saddle, but am looking with how to deal with these 2 issues.

1 - you can try oiling the backsides of the fenders and rolling them in your hands to soften them up, this could help. If the roughout is really β€œrough” even after that you could try fine grit sandpaper to smooth it out some.

2 - sucks, but not much you can do. I’m guessing they heavy oiled it and the oil and dye are leaching. When I had a C3 it didn’t do that, but my rope saddle that is a heavy oil roughout bled on our jeans for a long time, so did my brother in laws from the same maker. Pick and choose the jeans you ride in for now I guess.

Thank you very much! I appreciate your help! I did get the dark oil (its what I wanted) but I didn't know it would leech like that. I wrapped my legs tonight and put on some extra thick, tall socks and I didn't have any issue.
