Is anyone in or near Yuma, Az? I know I’ve found a couple places online but does anyone know if the rodeo grounds allows layovers and who to contact?

When I was stationed in Yuma the fairgrounds/rodeo grounds did not accommodate for that. I was there until mid 2017 and I doubt anything has changed since I left. There is a place just south of MCAS that can accommodate you called Whispering Horse Stables. If you would like, PM me.

I have some friends with a place in Wellton
(36 miles east of Yuma on Hwy 8
). They have a literal oasis there, 26 RV hookups, roping arena, small barn & outdoor corrals. They don't have horses of their own anymore, but people come stay thru the winter with them every year
(usually snowbirds without horses
). I could get their contact info for you if you'd like?
