Does anyone have a good suggestion for cameras for the barn for foaling out mares? I would like to be able to check it from my phone while at work but also am working with limited WIFI at my house and I'm not quite sure it reaches the barn.

I don't know anything about camera's or wifi but one option would be to hire a homeless guy and get him a cricket and have him text you pictures every 30 seconds or so

i have a uniden wireless camera in the barn and it reaches to the house. but without any wifi thats the best i can find so far.  I love that i dont have to get out in the cold if all is quiet in the barn and that if someone is down i will know too.

How far is your barn from the house? And it does not run off of WIFI?

Have you tried putting your router up high? We put ours on top of a hutch and got it to reach further.

Oh awesome! Do you happen to have a link for the one you purchased? I’ve been having trouble finding any that don’t need WIFI

I had the same question not long ago. My barn is less than 100 feet from my house, and I setup a video baby monitor. It's working great for now. I did have some trouble with it loosing signal if I went to the farthest corner of the house, but luckily there is 2 walls between my night stand and the camera, and it stays on most of the time. Great vision at night. Only downfall is there is no option to check from work. Though, this may seem like a dumb question - do you work nights? If not, you may not need to check if away from home. I'm considering banking on that and saying I can do without the wifi. My Wifi issue is we can only get 5mbs download speed, so our internet is just garbage for trying to upload a live feed.

I have asked for a camera system for christmas that has 4 cameras and a dvr to record movement and store. With this you can setup to view a live feed from a website and I dont think you'd need wifi in the barn, but the cameras are not wireless, so youd have to run cable from your house to the barn. Not terribly difficult to do, especially if temporary. The cable comes with 100 feet of cable and you can buy more pretty cheap.
This is that setup.
