No, they don't rub their manes at all. Yes, they are pricey but do pay for themselves. I was fortunate to find one used.

I have the 1 3/4" Hay Chix net w/AGI hay ring. Easy and very little waste.

I have two five year old hay chix nets. Until this last fall, one was entirely on its own feeding the horses and getting stomped. This last fall I cut the big string off and used a smaller string to weave it on to a hay ring. Made my life much simpler! I haven't put the second net on my newer hay ring
(bought last month
), but will soon.

I second Hay Chix. I have several nets ive had for well over 4 years and they are all in 100% shape. They are used on a daily basis too.
As always there is a link in my signature for a 20% off your order coupon code.

How long is the 20% sale on?

I just got a couple hay chix. Not sure what I think about them. Zero waste but my horses never leave the round bale. Makes me wonder if they are getting enough to eat as they are constantly eating on it?
