| Not sure what she rode him in but I ride two WIDE horses and went through several saddles. The Charmayne James Wide tree is an absolutely perfect fit! My two horses are round withered and flat backed! LOL |

| Saddle fit wasn't as much of a thing then as it is now. Who truly knows if what she had on him really fit him?? There were lots of winning horses back in the day that did it with white marks on their withers. For a wide horse you need to ask about bar angle and rock. If they are wide and flat, then you want something without a lot of rock. If they are wide (big shoulders) and have quite a bit of withers they you need something with a little bit of rock but probably with shoulder flare. Melata Brown saddles are known for fitting lots of horses and she can explain how they fit. Just because a Martin has a 10 inch gullet, doesn't necessarily mean it'll work on a wide horse. I have a custom from RBarB that has some rock, but also has wider bars and some flare to them. It fits my tank of a filly. Margo Henjum on FB could tell you A TON. She has a horse that looks like a draft. Her custom saddle has a 6 1/4 (yes 1/4) gullet, but is flatter than a flitter and it fits her monster horse. |

I haven’t ridden in my Meleeta Brown saddle in years, but am fixin’ To start using it again. I have a question on where is it supposed to sit? On the shoulders or behind? I just can’t remember! |

| I'm not looking for a new saddle for slyder. I love the one I have, but I might have to get the same brand with a wider tree :( My saddle fits my mare perfect, but slyder is a wider horse than heidi. When I get on him, it rolls. I have the thinest 5 star pad they make. Have a great cinch " shoulder relief" When I'm on him, saddle is fine, it's just when I'm getting on it rolls. Yes I use a mounting block, but there may be times in a pasture where I would have to get off & back on & a rolling saddle is a pain to deal with. I was just hoping may-be someone knew something regarding Bozo's saddle. Loved that horse. Thank you guys for your comments :) |

I have a wide horse. My Circle Y Flex2 WIDE (I have the Lisa Lockhart version but of course she left Circle Y now) fits him beautifully. The Meleta Brown fit him beautifully too, but I myself could not get used to the flatter-style seat. |
