Do you have any recommendations on the most family friendly communities? We love rural areas but also hoping to find a good church and school system! We have two young boys.

The Henderson area is pretty good. I lived in Henderson for 6 years. It's close to Evansville for when you want the city but small enough to be called a town. It is basically a bedroom community for Evansville but they sure hate being called that.

In rural western Ky we have either a bank or a church on every corner so you should be able to find a church home.

I never knew we were neighbors jd&ez. I live in Corydon.  Small world.

I live in Hanson now. Been back in Hopkins County for 20+ years now.

I thought I knew who you were but I guess not.

I missed the "lived" in (not live in Henderson) part. I honestly don't know your name - just jd&ez. We probably do actually know each other. I'm Stephanie (Cottingham) Nichols

It took be a second to make the connection- but when I did, I had to laugh. I haven't seen you in a coons age. You were part of a conversation about flag racers not long ago.Hope you are doing well. Mom and I are still at the same place I grew up. I still have my horses, I just work too much now to show much.

We still go the World Flag Race. We went in July. We quit going to the Ky State Fair 2 years ago when they got stupid.

We planned on going to Hardinsburg tonight to visit at the Cowboys For Kids annual show.

But Ursula ran a half marathon and I ran a 5K in Hopkinsville this morning and she says she’s not up to driving me home tonight from Hardinsburg. ??

Kentucky, Indiana friends! We are trying to find a horse property to buy in the surrounding areas of Evansville! We would love to be south or east and open to Owensboro as well! My husband has looked at 15 properties in 3 weeks and I just arrived back to NC from a weekend of house hunting! We had found one property we loved and the owners accepted a verbal offer while we were viewing it! We were heartbroken!

That being said...We are ready to buy now and we have cash in hand! We would prefer properties with at least 3 acres of pasture, barn, and a house with 3 bedrooms or more. Budget depend on property. We had several people tell us that for sale by owner is big in the area. Does anyone know of anything for sale?? If it’s on Zillow we have seen it!!

Please message me!  HELP!!

So my other half is from that area and just moved down to Texas, we were looking for a place up there and it is hard to find any horse property. I would suggest finding a realtor in the area?

Evansville, I loved! I have spent the past two summers there! I know a little up in the post it was mentioned Mt Vernon has a Walmart it does not. It does have a grocery store and a dollar store. The west side of Evansville is the closest Walmart.
