Today is
Saddle shopping and I see that many say they have "Full Quarter Horse Bars" but never list the angle of the bars themselves... what is the typical angle of those? I know the gullet is usually 7"
There is no exact standard, but a lot seem to be 46*.
Gullet and bar angle have no required relation to each other. I can have 46* degree bars on a 6.5" gullet or a 7" gullet. Each tree builder will build to the specs they desire.
Full vs Semi are IMO outdated terminology just because we have so many different options now. Heck I think Double J builds on at least 10 trees of their own.

I have to agree with this. Full vs Semi QHB tell us virtually nothing as far as how the rest of the tree is constructed and what kind of horse it will fit these days.
I DO wish we talked more about bar angles those instead of just gullet with because IMO the bar angle matters just as much as the gullet width when it comes to fit to the horse. But I'm kind of a newb when it comes to learning about proper saddle fit, I'll admit, so feel free to take my opinon with a massive grain of salt.

Completely agree with both of you and that's why I'm so frustrated because many don't list the bar angle some even the gullet size!
