I wouldnt say Lakota are Junk. I think they used to be few years ago ( 2010-12) but they are nice solid trailers now.

Eeehhhhhh.....

my 2016 Lakota had a lot of issues.

a friends 2017 has been a total nightmare.

Our Platinum is a much better built trailer from a structural standpoint as well and tows much smoother.

I would buy an older higher end brand over a new low to mid range brand, hands down every time.

There are quite a bit of Lakota trailers up here that are going down the road. Everyone here I've asked loves theirs.

When we were looking at a lakota I believe it was a 2017 model. It was really nice. I liked it probably would have purchased it if it had the ramp I wanted. We are pretty good friends with our local trailer dealer, they specialize in Bloomers, the way he put it was Lakotas are the higher end in the midrange trailers out there. It was a beautiful well built trailer.

I have to admit but my trailer has seen more baseball tournaments than horse shows this year lol! It does come in handy tho for those hours in between games. We hook up the boys playstation and they come in a relax a little, and I love having my own bathroom because I'm a total germ phobe... and some of those baseball park restrooms are straight up NASTY! in the beginning we got funny looks but now people say what a great idea! We bring the grill and cook out too instead of eating concession stand food.

I loooooove having my own bathroom everywhere I go. It doesn't matter if we're at NBHA World or the side of the road somewhere, I can always go potty!

I think I've used our bathroom as many times on the side of the road as I have parked at rodeos or overnight trail rides!!!  I'd much rather smell horse odors than public restroom odors

I was looking for a new trailer this year and looked long and hard. I wanted something that would hold its value and last for a long time.  I had a certain amount of money I was willing to spend. I ended up buying a 2005 Platinum. They are the best made trailers. Very solid and hold their value well. Some cosmetic LQ issues but nothing that can't be fixed easily. This trailer will last for a long long time.
