Location: Arkansas | I didn't want to take over the other thread, but I had to share the good news about Scara--she got her forever home today!! Short back story is she was abused and neglected and then left behind when owners moved. So I've been feeding her for about 2 months or so. Her time was running out because she killed neighbor's cat and chickens. Her new people came today and got her. She went from tied to a tree with no shelter sleeping in her own poo to then left behind to HEAVEN. I can't say enough good things about this young family that took her. Talk about making my heart happy today!! Last pic was from when she was left alone and others are from today. M |

I'm praying this works out because they really want her. He said she had no idea what to do with a dog bed at first. . . How pitiful They named her Delilah

Location: Arkansas | She snapped at the Beagle this am when she walked past Delilah's food bowl. Nothing terrible, but they're gonna rearrange food bowls and beds so other dogs don't have to go by her to their bowls, etc. Please say a little prayer things go smoothly for her--she deserves this family. . . . |

Exactly, and Delilah has never been fed enough or regularly. So I think they're smart and will do whatever needs to be done to make it work. Allie (our female cur) still gets fed in her kennel with door shut. She was abused and starved and dumped--she has food issues and I'll work around that. We've come a long ways, but I'm not taking any chances. The vet is coming to their house tomorrow to check Delilah out. Less stress on her instead of going to the office. . . I'm keeping prayers going for this precious girl. |

Prayers said for her , I so do too hope it all works out, but sometimes its just so hard bringing another grown dog into a new home with established dogs.. she may need to go to a home that dont have any other dogs but her..But got my fingers crossed for her |

She has always seemed to be ok just being with other dogs, but I did tell him before they came to get her that I felt like feeding time might require separation. . . . |

Location: Arkansas | Just a little update--no more episodes with the other dogs at feeding time. Unfortunately, she has heartworms very very bad--but this sweet, wonderful couple is dipping into their savings to treat her. Amazing to me because most people would have a hard time doing that for a dog they've had for awhile let alone a shy rescue that haven't had for even a week. Jason said they absolutely were not putting her to sleep, that she was part of the family now. He was gonna check about a payment plan, but his daddy has fallen in love with her and told him he would cover it. (I'm contacting the vet Monday to make a payment to their account--he wouldn't take the money from me so I told him I was taking matters into my own hands!! He laughed and said "I figured you would"!!) God had His hand on this whole deal; with the way it all fell into place, there's no other explanation. Please keep this family of 2 legged and 4 legged individuals in your prayers. |
