| Father God, guide me today to DO ALL things that will bring glory and honor to You AMEN ?? One of the toughest assignments life ever hands us is to try to keep functioning while evyerhing in our world is falling apart. If you've ever been there, or that's where you are today, you know how difficult is can be to try to do all things you normally do when nothing is normal. The added pressure and pain piled on top of an already stressful life can bring us to the point of despair. Psalm 80:14 Return, we beseech You, O God fo hosts; look down from heaven and see, and visit this vine. This verse is a comforting reminder that THERE IS Someone who understands our exhaustion ad pain. In the midst of billions of people. He SEES US! He's watching every moment of our lives. That verse says He also comes to "visit" us in our troubles. Genesis 16 tells the story of a desperate young pregnant and temporarily homeless , who felt she had no one left who cared for her. God visited her in her moment of hopesslenss. Even though all her problems didnt' disappear, she was so ENCOURAGED to KNOW that God was paying attention to her that the Bible's says she called the name of the Lord " You are the God Who sees v 13. NO matter what this day has in store for you, you can be ASSURED that God IS watching. Like the psalmist did, ASK Him to come visit your circumstances with His AWESOME POWER. For it is WITH God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE Matthew 19:26 Psalm 80:19 Restore us, O Lord God of hosts; cause Your face to shine, and we SHALL BE saved! |

Anyone else wonder how God can keep track of all of us? I guess that is why they call it "faith". Amazing.
This is probably corny, but while Sean was feeding, etc at his deer stand Sunday, I sat in the Pioneer just listening to the wind in the pine trees. I started thinking about what an amazing world we live in that was gifted to us by the most wonderful architect/builder/creator. . . . That giant pine tree that started as a small seed knew how to grow and form so that there are needles, cones, and "pull off" type bark, etc. Maybe it's because of the time of year, or that it was so incredibly peaceful, or because my parents and kids are in TX hunting, but I was just in a thinking mood I guess. I forget way too often about the God we serve and what he's capable of doing and the overwhelming love He offers us. . . Oh that my soul never loses sight of Him and His magnificence. . . |
