Has anybody used these Aculife Patches? If so, did they work?
Yes and Yes. There is a video of my previous horse being patched by the founder of the company on youtube somewhere. You could tell the difference instantly. I don't know if it works for everything but this horse was a wreck and it helped him a lot.
use duct tape, it works as well and tons cheaper
The paint in my avatar was so sore from EPM when he went to the APHA World Show that he could hardly move. My trainer patched him and he did very well. Ended up Reserve World Champion in poles and too 10 in barrels. I don't think he would have been able to even compete without them. Keep in mind that the entry fees have to be paid months in advance and are very expensive. Almost drugs are very regulated as to what you can use or not. If you just showed up and paid your entry fees we would not have run him. I really think the patches made a huge difference. My trainer uses them a lot for foot abscesses too.
I've used them on different horses for pain and anxiety. I can't explain the voodoo behind it, but they do work.
I did at my last show. I ran my horse friday and he did not want to go in. Saturday I bought some of the patches and he did go in a lot easier, but I also did pemf as well so not sure. In the end he needed his stifles injected. I am not able to get the pemf this weekend but I will try the patches again. The girl that sets up at my shows only charges $5 for them so why not try it.

What areas did you patch him?

Does it make a difference as to where you apply them? Say for a suspensory/ligament damage or injury from old age related..
YES and YES they work!!!!! Firm believer in them for many things!!!!!
They work really well, my friend's mare relaxed instantly. And I've used them on my back!I do believe there is a proper way to apply though. I'm not sure if the general rule is white on the right, tan on the left or not.

John Chance went from head to toe with this horse... he patched everywhere he felt he needed (which was extensive). The video is on youtube of the entire process.

That has been so long ago I don't really remember---2013. My trainer is the one who patches them. Also every horse has different needs so they would probably need them in different places. By the way, watch the horses at the NFR. There are usually several that use patches. They are kind of hard to see. Some of the ropers are using them too. Top of hip is common and on shoulder or neck
