Don't feed Renew Gold (never have either) but it can go both ways.
The main goal is to eliminate any grain based feed. For this, you should be feeding 1/2-1 1/2 lbs depending on workload and age.
You can also add it as a fat supplement. I beleive to do so it depends on your horse's condition.

So I have a question. Are you adding Renew Gold to grain or is this fed by its self with no grain? For example I just bought a weanling and plan on feeding her Tribute Growth. ( She will be on grass hay and pasture) is Renew Gold something I would add to her grain, or is this something that I can get rid of grain completely and just feed her the recommended amount it says too? I think the answer is that it's an additive to grain, but I just want the correct answer???
RG By itself. Its main purpose is to eliminate the concentrates from thr diet. It makes the hind gut function as it should and thus, you don;t need grain based diets. Hope this helps! RG and the best forage you can find!
