200 fires, 12 million acres burned, and an estimated 500 million animals dead. 1200 homes gone. Still out of control.  The sky looks like it's on fire in the videos and in one area people driven from their homes are sitting on the beach to be near the water.  The whole thing is just horrendous.

I understand one whole state has been evacuated and their states are big. Somewhere I saw US firefighters have gone to help. I hope so.

This is just so sad that these wild fires have not gotton under control..

I have a friend in Australia and she said there has been a half (1/2) billion animals burned. It is a catastrophic event. ?? for rain.

Oh my Lord that's just horrible.  Devastating loss of life, both humans and animals. . . 

So sad.. I pray they get much needed rain and relief!
