I got my first bottle of Pentosan from my vet.  His instructions for the loading dose were: 6cc IM every 4 days for 7 rotations  (similar to the adequan loading dose). 

Not that I want to go against my vet, I had just always thought it was 6cc once a week for 4 weeks.  So it kind of took me by surprise lol. 

What have you all used as a loading dose?

I have always done once a week for 4 weeks. Maybe your vet was confused haha

Vet told me 6mL once a week for the first month. 

Thanks!  I thought maybe he was confused too.  I am sticking with the research I have done which is 6cc every week for 4 weeks.  I haven't seen any other recommendation stating otherwise.  I have a great vet, but I am assuming he had Adequan stuck in his head (that was originally what he wanted me to go with)

Interesting. If I remember correctly, my vet has me do 6 cc every 4 days, for 5 doses (just two doses less than the Adequan dosing).

My vet had me do one shot a week for 4 weeks then once a month. 6cc.
