Hey! So my poor mom was supposed to have a Knee replacement from arthritis March 31st but it got cancelled due to covid-19. She is in a huge amount of pain. Her next chance at surgery probably won't be until fall. So I was thinking about a good support brace for her to wear to help her get around a little better.  Is there any products for people that have the same quality magnets that are in PHT products? I know they have a specific polarity that makes them special compared to cheaper magnetic products.  I'm not saying this is the end all but if there is something out there to help her a little I'd be so interested in it. Thanks for your help!!!

I hope you find something that works for her. I tried many different braces/supports before I had my knee replacement. I never found one that was comfortable or helped with the pain.  With the exception of a couple of brutal PT sessions the replacement was a piece of cake.  I wish I had done years ago. I hope your mother's surgery (when she finally gets it) is as smooth and successful.

Thanks. She can't take anything except Tylenol and iy doesn't even touch it. So having her surgery pushed was kind of devastating.  Hopefully we can get back to normal soon so she can plan it.

Wanted to share this with you. Has your mom been tested for metal allergies ?  My husband had knee replacement & never felt right afterwards. He was in constant pain. Dr checked for infection, none. Finally dr said, the only thing we can test for is a metal allergy. Bingo, my husband is allergic to nickle. So now they have to remove his replacement & put in titanium . The allergy test is a simple blood test. Bob has a wonderful ortho & the guy is very well respected in his field. We asked why it's not mandintory for this test to be done before a replacement & dr said it's not a huge common thing according to the mayo clinic. Well I'm sorry but mayo is wrong on that. There are more people than they think. Anyway no one deserves going through this kind of surgery twice. Sorry, I didn't mean to go off track with your post. Just wanted to let you know this for your mom's sake. Bob's surgery has been postponed to. Hopefully in may. He just wants to get this over with.

That's terrible! My hasn't had the surgery yet. The hospital cancelled it due to covid-19. It was supposed to be March 31st. She's in pain because she's bone on bone from arthritis in her right knee. She is allergic to nickle. She had her left knee done 5 years ago and had great results. I'm assuming since she knew she was allergic to nickle they put titanium in. That's where women have a leg up on men... She knew she was because of only being able to wear nickle free earrings.

I don't know of any specific items that would be comparable to PHT, but my Suggestion is get some sort of compression brace for her knee, they make copper ones.  Then take a PHT 3 in 1 wrap (you can also get the magna cu ones) and just use that on her leg.  I suggested the compression wrap for support, as the PHT isn't supportive.

My mom had her meniscus repaired in her knee and used the 3 in 1 wraps and they helped.  I also use them on various body parts for relief!   I would go with the PHT, since we know they work! The 3 in 1s are pretty versatile!

I really like the Back On Track knee brace. It helped my dad when he was in pain before his knee surgery.

I have had really good luck with my BOT knee brace. It doesn't offer any support but my knee feels so much better when I wear it.

After my knee scope I wore it every time I rode. As soon as I took it off I stiffened up.

I'd highly recommend getting one for her.
