Why would you want to get rid of a Blue Indigo? |

LOL, yept they can be scary when you are not expecting them, is it in your barn? I love seeing a Blue Indigo out here, they take care of rattlesnakes and the copperheads here, but have not seen one in a few years. |

Location: Illinois | They don't like lawn mowers, chase it out with a mower. Leaf blower, shop vac, anything noisy like that. If it's just a black rat snake chop it in half with a sharp shovel

| What is a Blue Indigo? As far as I can tell it is just a Black Snake. We have tried those snake away grandules, amonia, blocking its entry into its hole and now it made its way into the garage. Have a lot of stuff in boxes for him/her to hid behind. I live in Oklahoma. Been trying to find an exterminator and none to be found. |

Google the Blue Indigo, but more then likely you have a black rat snake living in your space. Have you tryed talking/calling your county extension office and see if maybe they can help you out? |

Location: Lone Star State | Moth balls. Had a copperhead den in our shed one year. Guaranteed to go out at sunset and you would see an adult. We killed many but still would gather there. Threw out moth balls and they relocated.

Location: Kansas | It's easy. I killed three last week, two in our barn, one with the mower. We have few insects because of a throng of toads around our house and barn. Toads are friendly and are the best at what they do. I keep small tubs of water for them to soak in. When snakes invade, they eat them all. Poof, they're gone and our basement is full of spiders. I use a spade with a sharp point. I can only kill the ones I see but if I see them they're gone. Snakes also eat tons of baby birds and baby rabbits. I hate them. |

| Yeah.. I dont do snakes.... they eat my chicken eggs and try to go after my chicks .... if I see them, they dead... only and the ONLY one I don't kill would be an indigo.... but I've yet to see one. My boys, who are my snake patrol know not to shoot one of those... but everything else is a fair target. My bigger hens killed 2 small snakes last week.. I never got to see what kind they were but I'm glad they are on it. |
