Has anyone made their own equine nebulizer set?

I did a long time ago.  I took a 5 gallon water jug and cut the bottom off.  I think that I put some duct tape around the edges but I can't remember exactly what I did.  The bottom opening was big enough to go over the horses nose, past his nostrils, but small enough that the horse had to breath the air inside the jug.   It usually took two of us, but we put my horses nose in the large open end and squirted Albuterol into the small opening.  He would breath in the Albuterol.  You could tell when it was gone because the inside of the jug got filled with steam from the horses breath.  I think that you could use a gallon milk jug or something similar.  

I did this before there were so many supplements and other options but the Albuterol worked great.  I had a nurse tell me once, that it was the same treatment that they used for kids with activity induced Asthma.

Making home made nebulizers doesn’t honestly work. I’ve tried. Talk with the people at the nebulizer companies they can explain why. I ended up buying a unit and it’s the best thing I could have done for 2 of our horses. Huge difference.
