Location: Iowa | I know there are a million threads on saddles out there, but I figured I would just come out and ask my questions directly! Thanks in advance for the input! I have a 14.5 Double J Pozzi Pro Wide Fit and I adore that saddle. I am wanting to purchase another saddle, but unsure of which one. I tried a 14.5 #20 Burns and like it – but they are super expensive! I am 5’4”, 140 lbs and ride a lot of different young horses so I want a saddle that sits me back, keeps my feet forward and will fit a lot of different horses. I do not want to purchase the same saddle that I have incase I run into a horse that my Pozzi Wide doesn’t fit. I like a bigger seat – I hate being thrown forward or having my feet straight down. I thought about a Martin, but which one – Crown C, FX3, BTR? Or a Jeff Smith, but which one – Mary Walker, Jackie Ganter, C3? I have had a Coats, Reinsman and Circle Y in the past and I do not want one again. |

| I would suggest a Horse Tack World comfort cantle ~ flex tree. They do keep your feet in front of you and known for keeping you sitting down. Very comfortable!!! Lots of options, as far as pencil roll and cheyenee, padded and hard seat. I have 2 ~ one flex and one wood tree |

| I sat in a Martin BTR and didn't like the way it sat me, it felt like it kind of perched me up there and didn't let me sit down. I didn't ride in it though, just sat in it on the rack so it could feel different on a horse. Have you looked into a Robbie Phillips? We switched from Pozzi's to Robbie's and love them. |
