Anyone use it?
I went round and round in my head and considered it, and finally just decided to keep with my Adequan/Legend protocol and joint injections as needed. But I am kicking it around in my head..lol
I tried it for a solid 3 months - didn't notice a huge difference but I was also using it as more of a preventative. It's pretty expensive so stopped but the research behind it is pretty solid.
I have used it. Honestly, I've used a ton of supplements over the years and I've never had a feed through joint supplement make a noticeable, significant change to me. I used it in conjunction with adequan, OCD Pellets, and injections. So yeah the horse is better right now but lord knows why... probably the Prostride and Noltrex I put in her coffins. I like the concept of Equithrive and the resveratrol. If you buy the Original pellets I think it just has the resveratrol and its not so expensive.
SmartPaks Smart Stride Ultra has the resveratrol in it as well, if thats what interests you. Similar in price. I've used both and saw no difference
I've given one horse Equithrive Complete for a couple of years. It definitely helps prolong his hock injections. He just went 12 months between. Wasn't showing me signs of pain yet, but I had my vet flex him and we decided to go ahead and inject....so I keep him on it.
I'v had my mare on it for 3 years now (started when she was 17). She gets injections 1X year. I feel like it works well and helps the injections last longer. I use the complete pellets and I dont think the powder gets eaten as well. It is expensive but I buy it on Amazon and do the buy again subscribtion and after you continue to buy it they give you a few bucks off.
I would recomend it to anyone looking for something to help their horse.
