Where or who can finance a trailer that is older than 10 years old....hard to find financing for older trailers.

Advice from an old cowgirl.  If you have to finance a trailer, maybe you can just pull what you have.  This is in no way being hateful, just food for thought.

True, but realistically, not many people can just go pay cash for trailers and trucks , etc. interest rates are sooooooooo low right now, why not finance.

I had to finance mine. I was using my moms and needed my own as well as wanted to upgrade. I took out a small personal loan through my credit union. It was no big deal or headache at all.

I just went into my credit union tonight and got preapproved.  She just wanted to know how much I wanted to spend.  I was preapproved for $20,000 at 4.99% (I think that's what she said).  I don't intend to spend that much.  She did say I will need an appraisal and that any lot that is willing to do one is fine as long as it's not a lot where I'm buying the trailer - I'll just need to pay for the appraisal, which she said can run from $50-$100.  They offer loans similar to 5th wheel loans and can be stretched out 15 years.  The age of the trailer wasn't even a factor.

Not many of us are in a position that money isn't a factor in a purchase, there are a lot more of us that have to finance than there are of the ones that can pay cash.  Most banks don't have a problem with financing, but just make sure you keep additional insurance on the trailer other than what your vehicle insurance covers.  I had a friend that didn't have additional insurance on hers and a storm did a lot of damage to it sitting in her yard that she had to pay for out of her own pocket.

I have used Compeer Financial for my truck, old trailer and current trailer. They're good to you if you're good to them. Decent interest rates and very personal service. I had no issue getting approved for $25000.

I don't know if First Internet Bank of IN will do older than 10 years or not - but they have great rates if you have good credit and very easy to deal with.  https://www.firstib.com/ A lot of dealerships use them too.
