Turnburnsis -

Do you mean the gold fringe around some american flags?

If so, to my understanding. Its decorative. Typically only seen on flags used for a ceremonial situation versus the flag without fringe that is usuallty only seen on a flag pole. The fringe flag is used in "pretty" circumstances where it is not likely to be affected by weather - ceramonies, parades, inside court houses. The fringe is supposed to mimic the movement of the flag blowing in the wind.

I am aware there are a lot of consipracy theorists out there that try to say otherwise.  I found my information from the website of the American Legion and a study gude for the US Army. I'm personally going to trust those sources over a conspiracy type page. Everybody has to decide for themselves.

yes and thanks!

Lets say that the whole admistration is doing wrong, the senate, the whole sho-bang...who holds them accountable then? Military?

I have seen some live videos that even some rep. are  saying that they are not doing right.  So thats why I ask...so if the majority thinks wrong is right that its gets to be that way even if not constituional

Ill be honest I dont know how to research and know if its the truth!  for instance the EO, people showing videos that they are blank pages. and I have heard that they are not posted on the federal website for public. I dont know bc I cant look stuff up at work computer and I just have my phone and I cant see much anyways. and then I see so much stuff that we was Corp. but now we not (this got sidetracked) ...How do you know?  and the Flag what does yellow mean? Ive seen 2 different stories and when I looked that up I found that it means 2 ways....

I am ashamed that I know nothing bout politics and history was boring to me in school but now I wish I knew more bout our history than just to get by in school!!!

Checks and balances - the three branches of government

Executive Branch - (President, Vice President and Cabinet) are supposed to carry out the law

Legislative Branch (Congress which is made of of the House of Representatives and the Senate) makes the laws

Judicial Branch (Supreme Court  and other federal courts) intreprets the laws

The specific powers of each branch are outlined in the constitution. If it's not mentioned in the constitution - the power to do something is up to the states.

Article 1  powers of legislative branch

Article 2  Executive branch

Article 3  Judicial branch

Each branch is supposed to hold the other in check

An example might be that president Clinton signed the Defense of Marrage Act into law. That said that the federal definition of marrage was between a man and a woman. Those that didn't agree with that took cases through the court system until it went to the supreme court,  and it ruled that Same Sex marriages are legal in federal terms. The Judicial Branch said the Executive Branch overstepped.

And there is your answer. If the Executive Branch and the Legislative branch are doing something wrong together - it's going to take the Judicial Branch to stop them.

Nice 9th grade civics lesson.  It's sad to think this isn't being taught.  I literally knew this from reading "Weekly Reader" in elementary school.

It is sad, isn't it. I'm really bothered with the lack of actual education in schools these days. It's just another thing in the US that is on a down hill slide.

The slide of education includes the lack of teaching history, geography and civics. Without these essential subjects, American students have not been taught the concepts of American Government. As in Americans no longer understand their rights as granted to them by Their Creator.
