| These are my trainers reins from 20 years ago. Extremely rusted at the buckles, we need to make them shorter and it's impossible. We have tried everything. And I would like to give her back these. My hands are sometimes an issue, so we tried these and they help with my hands. They are very very heavy, extremely thick, and have knots in them. Leather reins just do not work for me. I like these reins because they are extremely heavy. Any idea where I can find something similar? And they are not slippery whatsoever.

Location: CTX | I have reins from the Reinman (Steve Davis) and Gale Beebe. Both are excellent reins and great customer service, but I prefer my reins a bit wider, plus Gale's reins are softer. The reins in your picture look like Steve's reins, and he can put knots in them wherever you want. Gale's reins do not have knots in them. |

Its kinda hard to say if they are heavy, my heavy and your heavy may be different, lol. But to me they are a bit heavier, all mine are the 9 strand. I'm trying to find Gale's number for you to call her and so you can ask if she can do the knots.. I may have her email still somewhere, but its been a long time since I last ordered from her. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | OK, I talked to Gale, and she dont do the Knots, but she was saying that some of the people she makes reins for liked the knoted reins untill they try her 9 strand reins and they decided they didnt need the knoted reins anymore... But everybodys different.. |

Gail Beebe reins aren't heavy at all. I found them to be extremely light weight and got rid of them for that reason. I personally like the Can Chaser reins, they don't hurt your hands. They aren't super heavy tho but a good weight IMO. I've never used his nylon reins but Rein Man has excellent quality leather reins (that are super soft) so I have not doubt his nylon reins are of good quaility. |

Location: Glendive Mt. | Gale Beebee makes some awesome reins. I just bought two pair from her. She has two different thickness a 6 and a 9 strand, I like knots in mine and she makes hers long enough I just put my own knots in them which makes them a bit heavier and I love that. Just look on FB for Gale, she has lots made up and can whip you up some if you want different colors. |

I LOVE her reins! The round 7-braid are my favorite. She's still making them. |
