I found this really interesting...
I enjoyed that! I'd be interested in the idea of how his DNA compares to modern TB's. Never knew about "silvering" their hooves...and I'm glad they couldn't get enough intact nuclear DNA to clone him. There will only ever be one Seabiscuit!

Yea, me either, I learned alot in that article... The silvering thing was interesting and I am so glad they cant get enough to clone him... just my opinion but part of what made these greats was not only what they themselves accomplished but they passed with the legecy, but also passed on traits for generations after generations. So what they left here, got continued and kept improving but they still stamp baby's today with some things...
