You do realize that a LOT of people with covid and spread it have ZERO symptoms ?!? The fact you felt unwell few days ago and low grade fever , the test results are probably correct.
The symptoms certainly vary. One of the SF Giants baseball players came up positive in New York. He had cold symptoms and is now having to quarantine in a NY hotel while his team went on without him. If I were you I'd believe the test. Play it safe and feel better.
Depending on the home test it is likely the same one so many hospitals use for their rapid test which are pretty accurate when it comes to positives .... you are more likely to have a false negative than a false positive. And because of situations like yours that is why so many people are easily speeding it. Just quarantine yourself for two weeks from the onset of symptoms and be responsible for yourself as well as for others. Good luck!
My trainers daughter came up positive when she got tested at the hospital. They decided to go get the home tests at CVS and tested everyone else in the household, they were all negative so they tested the daughter with one and hers was positive. I'd say they are pretty accurate. By the way, the rest of the household took the ivermectin regime and remained negative, they just tested again and are still negative... on that note... good luck getting your hands on some these days!
