Location: Never in one place long | Anyone on here live in or near Savannah?
If so, what can you tell me about it? Jobs? Is it a nice place to live? snakes an issue-we have four dogs and I'm worried about snake bites. Many horse people? Barrel races? |

Location: DUMPING CATS AND PIGS IN TEXAS :) | I lived in Savanah for 7 ish years. Savanah, is awesome. It's got everything you could imagine it would. Old time squares with water fountains, lots of old history. River Street has place after place to stop in. SCAD is one of the best places in the US for ART majors, so you see a lot of art shops and art festivals. I don't know about the outskirts of Savannah but there really wasn't anyplace to have horses there. You'd have to live outside the city limits to have animals. Armstrong Atlantic University is a really nice college. |

Location: Millen Ga | I live outside of Savannah, and work in Statesboro. There are a pretty fair amount of shows all over this area. Depending on where you move, the hardest thing for me has been finding good performance vets that come into our area. We haul to Aiken or Madison Ga ( Piedmont Equine). There are alot of snakes, mostly nonvenomous. We saw 10 snakes on our very rural, down a dirt road, huge pond, property in 2 weeks and all of them were nonvenomous. Rat snakes, water snakes, king snakes, black racers. There are Cottonmouths, Copperheads, and rattlesnakes in the area so just be watchful. Welcome to the south! Load up on bug spray and fly masks- you gonna need them! lol |
