I need unbiased opinions. Does my horse look sore? Keep in mind we are 4Der's and this mare has a tendency to be front endy so although she has improved, it is not unusual for her to not use her hind end like she should on the first barrel, especially in an outdoor pen. The first video is recent and the other is an older one just for comparison. OH and I know I still have a ton to work on as a rider....so just focus on my horse please. :)

Recent:

Note-the ground was sticky. Lots of mud earlier in the day but did dry out enough by the time Open started.

Same pen in 2020, ground was nice and dry.

2018, indoor pen.

The only real difference I see is, fighting the bit a little more in the recent video. However, your speeds looks to have increased. You gradually let him go into 1st in the 2020 video and theres more speed quicker in the 2021 and horse didnt seem to want to rate. You seemed more confident in 2020 which easily could be to have a little trouble on that 1st. It happens, sometimes you slow back down, sometimes you have to let the kinks work out at the faster speed.

I dont see anything thats alarming to me that the horse is in pain. If it is always front endy then I dont see anything that makes me worry. Could do a dental check just to feel better.

I dont see anything other than training issue. the indoor arena naturally makes any horse, turn. You can see on your 2nd barrel indoor she still wants to bow out the backside, and not come to the rein. That is going to magnify in an outdoor arean with no walls.

I'd have her hocks and stiffles checked. She really looks likes she's bunny hopping of the barrel (especially 3) in the current video.

But her face and neck markings are so much like my old mare I just want to squeeze her and love on her.
