Our local feed store switched to Top of the Rockies cubes this month.  Anyone heard if they are safe to feed now?

I believe they are. Supposedly all the affected batches were removed from shelves. But I will say that my local store did not re up with them for their cube source after that. Several pallets were removed from my feed store because they were part of the recall. A lot of people changed to either cube it or pride of the high plains brand. I'm currently using the Pride of the high plains and have been happy.

I don't consider any cube that used outsourced hay safe. There is no way they would or can inspect each bale  for dead animals. How many of you have opened a bale of hay with a dead snake in it ? (I know i have )

Like them or not , HayRite cubes are sourced and cubed on site. The hay is raised by them and cubed ( not baled) on site. Much less chance of contamination.

i've used other cubes in the past but not since the wake up call from TOTR last year. It could of ( and probably happened ) with any of the other cube co.

I can't afford to play russian roulette with feed.
