| I do but do not promote him. He crosses phenominally with race bred mares for barrel horses, tho he should throw some good roping horses bred to ranch/roping mares. He's old blood to Zan Par Bar and looks much like ZPB. I'm running one of his daughters now (he retired from running last year at 18) oo a Moon Lark/Zevi mare who was pure speed. Demon and I are still just figuring ourselves out and getting past her ADHD and already have broken into the 2D. I crossed him with my rocket mare and can't wait to see what that colt does in a few years, new owner thinks the world of him as a yearling. |

| These are a handful of Ruby Buckle stallions that do NOT have FG, DTF, ASOF, ASNY on the papers: Shawne Bug Leo Fiestas Gotta Gun Al Cappone Jesses Topaz As Good As Nick Gets Bullseye Bullion Blazin Jetolena Blazin Honor Epic Leader Bet Hesa Cat Quahadi Slick By Design Tres Seis
I mean there's a bunch out there that aren't barrel stallions, but these are just a few. |

I mean there's a bunch out there that aren't barrel stallions, but these are just a few. Lawd help, child! Read. Fiestas got a gun is obviously FWF. Epic Leader has FWF ON papers. Tres has OMR ON his papers. I know those three. If I googled the others, I'd find some of what I mentioned.

Right. And incentives are keeping these bloodlines at the top. My question is how long can we keep breeding these bloodlines back to each other before we have inbreeding genetic changes? |

This was your question. I answered it. Also I didn't realize Tres Seis was an OTMR, lawd I must need to go back to school since I'm still a child. Oh wait, he's not and I'm not a child. |

Location: Dubach, LA | Well, I'm awfully glad to know there's a very popular stud that doesn't have these names. That's a breath of fresh genetics. I'm really concerned that barrel horse is going the way of the European monarchy and the Amish. There's definitely been an uptick in certain diagnoses in the past five years. |

| Love this and following. I've been thinking the same. I would love to see more diversity in the market. |

| I bred two mares to Bogart (by Corona Cartel) last year. Best babies I have ever had. Had a couple of rebreeds from last year and decided to breed one to Four Six Jess(by Mr Jess Perry/half brother to Apolitical Jess). The other mare to Hez Fast As Cash (by Hez A Fast Man out of Corona Cash winner of the All American Futurity). One reason is the stallion owner is so easy to work with. I don't care what you breed to, if the stallion owner is a butthead it makes everything difficult. If you watch these WPRA girls, they ain't playing and they have some exceptionally fast horses. |

| Line breeding is not new. Wiescamp really perfected it years ago. I might mention that he did have plenty of horses to play around with. The stallion owner that I deal with was friends with Wiescamp. He says that the perfect cross for that is 2nd, 3rd generations crossed. I had a granddaughter of First Down Dash that we bred to a son of First Down Dash. The filly was so nice that the stallion owner bought her. She did go to the track but because of COVID races were canceled. We bred the mare back to the same stallion and got a colt which is really showing a lot if promise. I just bred a granddaughter of Mr Jess Perry to a son of Mr Jess Perry. Same stallion owner. We have been dealing with him for about 5 or 6 years now. He was the premier breeder of racing paints in the 90's and shipped one of the first horses to Brazil. It is nice to be able to have a knowledgeable breeder to help you. |

Completely agree with you, line breeding has been around forever but it is a science. Not just randomly grabbing two related horses and breeding them, there is a lot more to it than that. |

When do the magic crosses become inbreeding? Seriously, because I'm not a breeder. Me I have one. He's four in pictures. Five now. Has a huge gas pedal. I have started running him on barrels yet. He's all old run and old cow. And that is exactly why I have him. I don't want to limit my gene pool to the same thing. I have mares that are Mr Jess Perry, Red Hot Pursuit (OMTR) and Famous JR. I bred my old cow mare to an old blood running stud. I thought I was the only one who wonder when there would be nothing else to breed too. https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/index.php?query_type=horse&h=CW+SHAKE+RATTLEN+ROLL&g=5&cellpadding=0&small_font=1&l=
