I'll give you the short version of my delimma.

I have 4 horse Hart, 20ft LQ, Mid Tack, Outlaw Conversion, Mangers, Air Ride, Clear title.

I found a 3 horse Sooner, nice large size LQ, two slides, Side Tack, Air Ride same year as my trailer.

Both trailers are in excellent condition.

In your opinion would I be "trading down" if I was to sell my Hart then purchase the Sooner?

Yes, I think that would be trading down.  Hart's resale value is better than Sooner.

Yes, unless the Sooner is much newer. Also, does it really matter if that's what you want to do?

I also find that 3 horse trailers are harder to sell than the 4 horse trailers 

Yes! Hart Trailers resale value is very high. Theya re very well made trailers too.
