How do you all feel about it? 

I just got an email from AQHA that they will be offering a new artificial intelligence service 

Probably scarier than the whole C-BS of the last 3 years? I knew covid insanity would have a lifespan. AI is the leading edge of the future. I don't see any use for it. Automated systems can be fantastic, but they don't have 'intelligence.' Human intelligence may be flawed, but at least it is REAL stupid, not artifically so. The propensity for abuse with artificial intelligence is almost beyond measure. 

I use Spotify on my phone that connects to the speakers in my barn. For the first time yesterday this little AI guy popped up and said he knows what kind of music I like based on my past selections yada yada ... someone or something is always watching or listening to whatever we do! Anyway he went on to say he'd keep me entertained so I didn't have to worry about switching around. First of all.. this thing is WRONG on the music selection... so many artists I have no idea who they are .. never heard of. He just kept saying based on your past stations and music selections we picked this for you. I turned that stupid thing off. It wasn't playing any of the music I like or listen to... so this is how they intend to control the masses again...you can listen to what THEY think you should listen to .. its dumb but it's definitely a start in that direction. I'm not having it! 

Someone is programming the AI. Who is the Million dollar question.

If you have Alexis or Seri or anything like that you have been using a form of AI.  That's why I don't have anything like that is my world.  Not that I don't understand tech, but because I do.  I also got rid of my cell phone when I retired, don't need that leash anymore.

What people dont realize is that AI has been in use for years now, Smart Phones, Smart TV's, Alexa, Amazon Echo and the list gos on and on. 

It's not at all hard to understand all the worry and fear over AI. The "science" of AI can be corrupted by political forces just as other areas of scientific endeavor.  The mistrust of science is probably at an all time high. Any "science" that allows itself to becomes enmeshed with partisan politics ends up suffering a huge drop in credibility, usually for good reasons.  Whether you are talking about climate science, reproductive biology, immunology, virology, energy science, food science, or computer science......succumbing to political pressures and influence has wreaked immense harm on all of them. 
In the case of AI, it's not a new concept.  Anyone who saw the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey" knows what I'm talking about.  The movie was based on a plot whereby a spacecraft is taken over by a rogue supercomputer, HAL. It was a darkly apocalyptic movie which has emerged as prescient over 5+ decades. 

Will AI or has it already taken over our elections swaying to Democrats.   Intelligence doesn't even enter into the equation when you consider where our country is now.  

When I hear AI I always think of I Robot
