| I am searching for a new helmet. I have been wearing a Tipperary Sportage for many many years. However, when I purchsed a new one it looks like they have changed the shape. It is much rounder than my old one. The reason I purchsed the Tipperary was because I have an extremely long oval shaped head. It fit great! I had been suffering with headaches from the Troxel I wore for so long. It was a very round helmet. It was so hard to find one that fit from front to back but not be too wide and wobbly. With the Troxel and other round shaped helmets I ended up with a red mark on my forehead after riding and had lots of pain. I was thrilled to find the Tipperary. It was so comfortable I forgot I was even wearing it. Well that helmet is now, gosh, probably 10 years old. I know, way too old and should be replaced. So I got the same one but it is not the same! Looking at them side by side the new one is so much rounder. So... PLEASE can everyone that wears a helmet and especially those that have long oval shaped heads share what they are wearing and how it fits? SUPER DUPER appreciative for any feedback. |

Location: Texas | Try an Ovation Schooler. I can't wear a round helmet either. They're pretty well rated too. |

| Thank you! I will do that. It is pretty reasonably priced too. Which is great. I can't imagine what makes a helmet worth $700!! Yikes. I've seen prices ranging from $50 to over $500. Wow! This one is very affordable. I'll give it a try. |

Huh. I just got a new Tipperary Sportage helmet a month ago, and it feels the same as my other ones. Of course, my other ones are also not 10 years old so maybe that's the difference? |

| There is the Tipperary Sportage and the Tipperary Sportage hybrid. I noticed this when I purchased my new one a few months ago. They look basically the same but are titled differently. You may look to see if you had one and then bought the other? |

Location: in the ozone | I LOVED my Ovation Protege', but they did a recall on them. The one they offered for replacement did not have anywhere near the ventilation of the Protege'. I ended up with a Troxel Terrain. I don't like the way it fits but it is much cooler. My head gets so hot, I have to have the vents! |
