Hello everyone!  I just bought a new trailer and it doesn't come with a generator. I was wondering do any of you have a regular generator on your hay rack? If so, what do you use for cover? is it safe? Any ideas?

Thank you in advance for any ideas!

Generators need air to breath. Look at those that have roof mounted generators. Ask in person questions to those that have interesting setups.
have you thought about wiring and fueling the generator? It's a good climb up there.
depending on size trailer you have will dictate size of generator you should get.
Ive seen hard mounted generators in aluminum boxes with slats, some with slats and raise the cover of box.

my trailer has an 8' LQ. I have a 3000 Honda   It runs ac quite well for years. But it won't run ac n microwave at same time. No big deal   Cost of getting a larger QUIET generator ??

Buy you a Champion on wheels from TSC. It's easy to handle, always cranks, runs your whole trailer, and you can store it anywhere.

I don't really care. All I care about is the fact that it always cranks and runs. If I don't hear it in my trailer, you can't hear it in yours.

I was thinking something similar. LOL But it wasnt peach I was thinking of. LOL Not everyone stays in their trailer every minute at a show / rodeo. Some of us like to put chairs out and have conversations around our trailers. But you do you.

Just sick of Flitastic and his bougee ways and remarks. Not all of us-hell-not many of us have the budget you apparently have to go and do and run and buy the best of everything. You could try to be a little more sensitive in your remarks and take that into account. I realize that only the absolute best will do for you, but some of us get by. Don't start hollering. I've watched you for years.

Unfortunately, no matter how quiet your generator is, there is someone close by with an industrial, LOUD one.  I don't know if you can avoid it.

I hear the Predators from Harbor Freight are good, and quiet.  As far as mounting one on top, I don't think I'd want to climb up there in my jammies to start it so I could brew my coffee, or climb out at night in the dark to turn it off.
