I have one of the equinflex sleeves ordered but in the meantime I need any advice on ways to bandage my mare's muzzle, side of her face above the corner of her mouth. We have been dealing with some pretty bad skin issues this fall and she has rubbed a big sore on herself.  Any ideas are welcome!!!

There is some kind of plasticy stuff that is sticky around the edges only. You put gauze on then the plasticy stuff to hold the gauze on. I have no idea what that stuff is called. Sticks anywhere. You might try Walgreens. It is for wounds that will not heal and also for covering permanent UC things like pic lines. My husband had a port for chemo and I had to clean it. That is what I covered it back up with after cleaning. Hope that made sense and helps.

Another tip for stick stuff for wounds is tincture of benzoin. Sometimes can be hard to find, but I just did a google search and it does pull up on amazon.

It helps to make the edges of a bandage adhere to skin.

If you haven't already, shaving the hair slick on your horse's face might also help a bandage to adhere.

This stretch tape is the best, just enough stick to hold it on, but does not pull out the hair when you take it off. Been a life saver for holding bandaging even when running barrels. :

Thanks again, I'm not very happy, got a notice that Equiflex/Equisleeve recieved my order and was supposed to get an update on when it shipped clear back on the 7th and have gotten nothing from them since.  No response when I reached out either.
